Environment
Human ecology examines how humans are active
participants in their environments, affecting it and also being
affected by it. Cultural traditions are not random, but rather
emerge out of people’s interaction with their environments.
Human beings have come up with so many substitutions for joy
it's impossible to count them all. And in the end, does it
really matter how many things you've owned? Human values
determine how people relate to each other. They are the social
equivalent of the genetic code and instincts at lower
biological levels.
The environment has become an extremly
important part in everyones life and like religion it brings
us hope, as long as we are respecting it. Religion is a
poppy for me. You can make it a medicine, or an enslaving
drug. Religion, in comparison, was considered a facilitating
factor because the scriptures supported physical activity.
Furthermore, an urban environment was an enabling factor
because it provided exercise facilities, sidewalks, and a
socially acceptable venue for activity. Religiously dictated
rates of fertility affect population. Religiously sanctioned
wars may cause widespread destruction and upheaval.
Participants in the graduate program in
religion and nature at the University of Florida initiated this
effort. Participants were run through a mock simulation of a
co-housing membership meeting. It became clear that many didn't
agree with the way the majority decided, or didn't take the
discussion format seriously.
Nature was created by God and it belongs to
God. Everything in nature is a sign of Gods existence; that
is, a token or missive. Nature and the poor are both victims of
oppression. They will be liberated together or not at all.
